01 Who we are
This site is operated by MikeyFilms LLC ("Mikey", "we", "us"), a maker of hardwood furniture and digital products, reachable at hello@mikeyfilms.co. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit the site, buy a digital download, or commission a piece — and what we do with it.
For privacy law purposes, we are the data controller responsible for your personal information.
02 What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details — your name and email address when you email us, submit a commission enquiry, or buy a product.
- Order & delivery details — for commissions, the project details you share and, where a physical piece is shipped, a delivery address.
- Correspondence — the contents of messages you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, collected through standard server logs and our hosting provider.
- Cookies — small files used to keep the site working and, where applicable, to measure traffic (see Cookies & analytics).
Payment information
We do not collect or store your full card details. Payments are handled by our payment processors, who receive the card or billing information directly (see Payments).
03 How we use your information
- To deliver digital products and provide download/license access after purchase.
- To quote, schedule and fulfill furniture commissions, and to keep you updated on progress.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
- To process payments, issue receipts and prevent fraud.
- To operate, secure and improve the site.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- With your consent, to send occasional updates — which you can opt out of at any time.
We rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (fulfilling your order), our legitimate interests (running and securing the business), your consent (optional communications), and legal obligations (tax and record-keeping).
04 Payments
Purchases are processed by third-party payment providers — currently Stripe and Lemon Squeezy. When you pay, your card and billing information is submitted directly to that provider; we receive only confirmation of the transaction and limited order details (such as your name, email and the items purchased). These providers act as independent controllers of the payment data they collect under their own privacy policies:

05 Third-party services
We use a small number of trusted services to run the site. Each handles data under its own privacy policy:
- Hosting — the site is hosted on Vercel, which processes server logs and technical data to serve pages.
- Fonts — typefaces are loaded via Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when fonts are served.
- Payments — Stripe and Lemon Squeezy, as described above.
- Email — messages you send reach us through our email provider.
- Embedded platforms — links to YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and similar platforms are governed by those platforms' own policies once you leave our site.
06 Cookies & analytics
We use only the cookies needed to make the site function and, where enabled, to understand aggregate traffic. We do not sell your data or use it for cross-site advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.
For traffic measurement we use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless tool. It records anonymous, aggregate data — such as page views and which buttons are used — without cookies, without a persistent identifier, and without tracking you across other websites. It does not collect data that identifies you personally.
Payment providers may set their own cookies during checkout to process your transaction securely and prevent fraud.
07 Sharing & disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with:
- the service providers listed above, strictly to operate the site and fulfill orders;
- professional advisers (such as accountants) where necessary;
- authorities or other parties where required by law, or to protect our rights, safety or property.
08 Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes above — for example, order and tax records are kept for the period required by law, and enquiries are kept while we are in contact and for a reasonable period afterwards. When no longer needed, information is deleted or anonymized.
09 Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the UK/EU GDPR and similar laws), you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion of your information;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- request a copy of your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time; and
- complain to your local data protection authority.

10 Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, and our payment and hosting providers maintain industry-standard security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11 International transfers
Some of our service providers are based outside the United States, so your information may be processed in other countries. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect your information.
12 Children
This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13 Affiliate links
Some outbound links — including Amazon links — are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Clicking them may allow the destination site to set its own cookies and track the referral; this is governed by that site's privacy policy, and using these links costs you nothing extra.
14 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version, and significant changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
