Sized to your room, not a shelf

A dining table is a clearance problem before it's a furniture problem. Before anything gets cut, we work backwards from the room: the footprint, the walk-around, and how many chairs need to pull out without hitting a wall or a cabinet. That number decides the top, not a size pulled off a shelf, because there isn't one.

A useful starting rule: allow about 24 inches of edge per seat, and leave roughly 36 inches between the table and the nearest wall so chairs can actually move. From there we adjust for a bench, an everyday length that skips the leaf, or a top that has to thread a tight Menifee dining nook.

Oak is hard and open-grained and takes a beating; walnut is a touch softer underfoot but reads darker and richer and hides a lot; pine and fir keep the price down and wear into a lived-in look instead of fighting it.

Finish is its own decision, and its own line on the quote. A dining top wants at least a sealed finish, something that shrugs off a wet glass and a wiped-up spill rather than drinking it. Tell me who eats at it, kids, keys, laptops, and I'll point you at the finish that matches the abuse.

Joinery you won't see but will feel

Every table is built the way a table should be: breadboard ends across the grain to hold the top flat, and mortise-and-tenon joints locking the base together. No pocket screws pretending to be joinery, no MDF hiding under a veneer.

It matters most on the piece you use hardest. Wood moves with the seasons, a top expands and contracts, and a Riverside County July is not a Riverside County January. Breadboard ends and joints cut for that movement are what keep a daily table from cupping, splitting, or working itself loose a few years in.

Deposit, lead time, and delivery around Riverside County

A 50% deposit opens a build slot; the balance is due when the table is finished, by card or bank on a secure invoice. Most pieces run 3 to 6 weeks from that deposit, and a firm date comes with your quote instead of as a guess up front.

Delivery is local, around Menifee and the rest of Riverside County. A dining table is usually a set-it-down job, but if yours needs assembly or leveling on site, installation is quoted separately as its own line so you can see exactly what you're paying for.
